With AP Health Insurance you have access to advice on both your physical and mental health. In addition, we help you with examinations and treatment if you become ill or sustain an injury.

Who is eligible for personal health insurance?
If you have a pension scheme with AP Pension, insurance, such as health insurance, is generally included. You can get personal health insurance regardless of whether you have a pension scheme with AP Pension through your work, or whether you have set up your own pension scheme. The terms and conditions of your insurance depend on when you became a customer and which product you or your employer have chosen. See an overview of your insurance terms and conditions here.
You are also welcome to contact us for advice and guidance. This is also the case if your employer has chosen health insurance for you with Gjensidige through AP Pension.
How to use your health insurance
In the event of injury or illness, it is usually a good idea to contact your own doctor before contacting AP Health Insurance or Gjensidige. If, on the other hand, you need treatment from a physiotherapist, osteopath, chiropractor, acupuncturist or psychologist, for example, you can often get treatment without having consulted your doctor. See how to contact your health insurance here.
In addition to your health insurance, you and your household also have access to AP Pension’s online doctor. Online doctor can guide you quickly and easily through the most common illnesses in everyday life, and you can also get some prescriptions renewed. You will always be referred to your family doctor if the online doctor assesses that you need an in-person consultation. If you have any questions about AP Health Insurance or our online doctor, you can find answers to frequently asked questions here.
Registration of co-insured persons
If you are covered by health insurance through your work, your spouse/cohabiting partner and your children up to the age of 24 can also be covered. The registration of your co-insured persons can take effect from the date on which you are covered by the health insurance. Your children will be covered automatically if your employer has chosen collective child cover. If not, you can choose to register your children under the age of 24.
The registration forms for co-insured persons are available here: Registration of co-insured persons – AP Health Insurance
