How to make a claim
- You can fill out a digital claim form here. You can also call AP Pension on +45 3916 9902. We are here to help Monday through Thursday between 9:00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m. and on Fridays between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
- Once you have filled in all the necessary information on the claim form, click “Submit” to sign with a digital signature. The claim will then be sent to us automatically.
Once we have received your claim, we will assess whether it concerns an accident that is eligible for cover. In some cases, it may be necessary to obtain medical information about the accident.
We will contact you and tell you whether the consequences of the accident are covered, and if your injury is stable and the degree of disability can be assessed, we will contact you again and tell you how much any payout will be.
Questions & answers
What happens after I have made a claim?
Once we have received your claim, we will assess whether or not you are eligible for cover. You will then be informed whether you are covered and what the next steps will be.
Often it is not possible to assess your medical degree of disability at the time you make the claim, and therefore the claim may be suspended until your condition is stable and all medical treatment and rehabilitation have been completed. This will generally be around the anniversary of the claim. Therefore, when your condition is stable, you will need to contact us again so that we can restart your claim. This will cover treatment of the covered injured limb by a chiropractor or physiotherapist if these costs are not covered by other parties. We only cover therapeutic treatments.
How long does it take to process a claim?
This varies from customer to customer. In most claims, we assess immediately upon receipt of the claim whether it concerns an accident covered by the insurance or whether we need further information. In the event of an accident, your degree of disability can often only be assessed around a year after the accident. Only when we know the ultimate consequences for you after the accident can we assess your claim and whether you are entitled to compensation.
Who assesses my degree of disability?
Our medical consultants will assess your degree of disability.
Where can I find my insurance terms and conditions?
You will have received your insurance terms and conditions in the mail or in e-Boks along with an overview of your cover. This could be when you got your pension scheme or if it has been changed subsequently. You can see your cover in Min Pension or in our app, Mobil AP.
If you are a customer of a bank in partnership with nærpension or other partners, contact your bank/partner if you have any questions about cover and insurance terms and conditions.
