How we work for a sustainable work life
At AP Pension, we are committed to creating a sustainable work life for our employees. We do this because life has its ups and downs, and we believe it is important to look at life’s phases as a whole.
The life cycle approach promotes both well-being and retention – and this helps to promote a sustainable work life where we all have added value. It’s about being available for each other in the phases of life where we each have different needs.
AP Pension should be perceived as a workplace with equal opportunities for all, and where new forms of cooperation and perspectives contribute to the best solutions for customers.
Health and well-being are crucial
Our goal is to prevent illness and to be a workplace with a high level of employee health and well-being.
Our health committee focuses on employees’ health, well-being, and energy. We offer various exercise classes throughout the week, active and mental breaks during the day, exercise equipment for use in the workplace, and health checks.
All employees can also contact AP Care if physical or mental challenges arise. Consequently, AP Care was key for employees during the pandemic.
We want to promote diversity and inclusion
Our goal is to bring diversity into play. We believe that our differences are a prerequisite for us to reach our full potential together. These enable us to challenge each other’s perspectives, make better decisions, and serve our customers even better.
Ensuring that we recruit a broad range of employees is important for our work on diversity and inclusion. We use the Develop Diverse screening tool when we are looking to recruit new employees to ensure our job advertisements are inclusive. We also use a bias guide with special points for attention and guidelines in order to avoid, as far as possible, unconscious bias working against diversity and inclusion, for example. We cannot remove biases, but we can be aware of them.
Flexibility throughout all stages of life
We believe that targeted actions that support flexibility throughout the stages of life make it easier for our employees to achieve a work-life balance.
We believe that flexibility contributes to added value, even when life is difficult or when unexpected things happen. Adjusting work during periods when this is needed must be possible. For example, when you have a child, experience illness in your family, divorce or become a senior citizen.
